I love working in the creative industries and I love working with people with whom I share similar values and ethics.
I feel invigorated presenting – whether it’s to a room full of corporates or a theatre filled with students. I enjoy the challenge then satisfaction of producing program content for all forms of media. I am at home close to water.
I get a buzz from the collaborative nature of committees and have been a part of Creativity and Innovation committees in the Hunter and on the Central Coast. I am also blessed enough to have the opportunity to speak regularly on radio about innovation and business and have been known to read from the odd Dr Seuss Book on 1233 ABC.
If I break it down, I have produced, scripted and directed content for television, web sites, training organisations, universities, corporate clients and small businesses, both locally and nationally. I have been fortunate to assist organisations with branding, rebranding, marketing campaigns, media and organisational development.
I also love writing and blog about innovation at www.ideationatwork.com.au and have heaps of fun administering Ideation At Work on Facebook.
I want to make a difference (doesn’t everyone?) and have an interest in empowering team members and in encouraging businesses and individuals to embrace innovation as part of their culture. I am passionate about ensuring that “inspiration” is realised into “action”.
I have also recently been appointed to the Board of Directors of Centre For Hope, where our aim is to make a difference to disadantaged youth. I’ve also signed up for a PhD in Innovation and Creativity.
Synchronicity played a part in my “bumping into” Alex. We met at a breakfast meeting and I handed him my details on a very innovative business card – read Scrap of Paper! We met, found we shared those values and ethics previously mentioned, and the rest is history. Alex introduced me to Ed – a “real” writer! I may need to delete script writing from the above list.
In my spare time I walk, ride a bicycle, read, dance and follow my beautiful children around various sporting fields. My favourite saying is “while you people argued about whether the glass was half empty of half, I was busy drinking it up”. Have a great day!
