Dressing the same everyday - on brand or boring?

Alexandria Joy - Monday, August 17, 2015

Have you ever thought about how much time you waste on silly, frivolous things in life, will I have the decaf or full blooded coffee? Should I go to that networking event or finish my report? Will I wear the blue or black suit today?

I don’t know about you, but I can easily get trapped into wasting time deciding what to wear for the day which is why in this week's episode of UQTV I explore the benefits of wearing the same clothes everyday like a form of uniform.

What's your thoughts? Is it smart, sensible and on brand or just plain boring?

Now I’d love to hear from you. How much time do you spend each day worrying about what you’ll wear?

Would you find dressing the same every day smart, sensible and on brand or just plain boring? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

Until next time

Be unique!

Spot on Deborah - and your uniform is so cute, practical and pink!

Heidi I've read where Mark Zuckerberg wears the same grey T-shirt daily for just this reason. He has to make so many other decisions in a day he doesn't need to worry about clothing! Personally, I love fashion too much!

Heidi, if I were working in an office environment, I would LOVE a uniform. Maybe a logo top and jeans. The idea of spending money on uncomfortable business attire is not attractive to me. I imagine if I worked in an environment like that I'd have days of the week outfits so I knew what I was wearing each day of the week. As a "Passionpreneur" speaker, dressing up is part of the fun. I don't find it difficult to decide what to wear because I have specific outfits that I buy for my brand. I suppose that's similar to buying 10 white tops that vary subtly. I find creativity in clothing and shoes and jewelry...

Heidi,
How we look is how people view us especially for a first impression. I know when I am speaking, presenting or going on the road for these activities I plan out what to wear and what to pack for the trip. My brand has blue for the ocean therefore blue shirts or blue ties are often part of the wardrobe.
